What is Someturva’s background?

Someturva is a Finnish company founded in 2017 to originally help victims of online harassment. At the time, it was clear that people were not getting the help they needed for their online harassment and were often left to deal with situations on their own. The existing means to resolve the situations were not fast and effective enough. To address this need, we developed Someturva, which allows any social media user to get quick and effective help for problems encountered on social media.
Harassment on social media often causes shame and even guilt, which is why our service is based on an easy-to-use app where you can report your situation with a low threshold and in complete anonymity. Today, we help in all kinds of bullying and harassment situations. The majority of incidents reported to Someturva have occurred in digital channels.
