What is the activation code?

The activation code is an 8-digit code that gives you access to the service. You only need an activation code when you log in to the app for the first time. After that, you will be logged in with just your phone number or email address and one-time passwords.

If your school, employer or other community you belong to has purchased Someturva, you can get an activation code from them.

How do I start using Someturva?

You will need an activation code and a phone or email to start using Someturva. You will receive an activation code, once you have the right to use the service. After this you can log in to our app as follows:

Go to the web browser at https://palvelu.someturva.fi and follow the instructions on the screen.
Please enter your phone number or email address in the text box. We recommend that you log in with your phone number, as it is the easiest way for us to reach you.
You will receive a one-time password through SMS or email . Enter it in the new text box.
When you log in for the first time, you will be asked for the activation code. Enter the activation code in the field.

The service is now ready to use! From now on, you will be able to login using your phone number or email and one-time passwords, no activation code is needed anymore.

You can give this information completely anonymously. Although we need to know the exact details of what happened, we do not ask for information such as your name, where you live or any other information that could identify the individuals involved. The only identifying information we ask is age. The age of the individuals involved can have a major impact on how the situation is legally evaluated.

You can report bullying or harassment situations to us anonymously 24/7. When you report a situation, our experts will review the case and evaluate your situation. You will receive our response within 0-3 days. Our response includes legal advice, psychological support and tools to resolve the situation. If necessary, we will also help you to file a police report. Our experts are lawyers, psychologists and social psychologists specialized in social media.

What is a one-time password?

To log in to the Someturva app, you need a phone number or an email address. A one-time password is a six-digit code that you receive by SMS or email to make sure that the phone number or email address is yours and correct. You will receive a new password each time you log in to the app.
